Hello! I'm in the process of booking 2 week tour of Italy in 2nd week of September 2002. I'm considering Trafalgar "Best of Italy" 14 day tour & have contacted Pavlus.com for pricing.
This is what I was able to get for a couple of 2 (myself & my wife), leaving out of Portland, Oregon
$4,544 for 2 of us that includes current 13% discount and also $200 discount for using American Airlines to get to/from Rome. There's also $70 (per couple) payment in full discount included.
How does this price compare with yours? Is it ok or a little high? I cannot get 5% returning customer discount since I have not used Trafalgar for any tours. Pavlus.com also charges $99 per person for travel insurance. Seems a little high.

We paid a little less than that last year, but we left from the east coast.
We just went through a local travel agent and paid the amount that was listed in the brochure, with a small discount (about $40.00 per person) for something, but I don't remember what.
If your price really includes a 13% discount, then it seems high to me.
