Tip: Best time for Spain? From Iain --
I prefer Spring because:
The countryside is still green, in fall it's brown.and burnt. Wild flowers and almond trees in blossom ( well for a day or two).
At the beginning of the year people are not tired as they are at the end of the tourist season.
There is still snow on the mountain tops.
Fish is better in the spring. Strawberry and asparagus season!
The countryside is cleaner after winter.
There are fewer tourists ( of the mass tourist type).
There are Easter processions and later, Southern towns have their ferias.
Go in Spring! Have a great time!
Tip: Best time for Spain? From ifjed5555 --
Spain is a great place to visit at any time of year. It is very geographically diverse, so that even when it's getting cold in the north, it's still nice in the south. And likewise, when it's blazing hot in the south, it's quite nice up north. Plus, Spain is a very mountainous country with large climatic difference within short distances. As far as seasons go, I prefer the fall. Summer is probably my least favorite season due to the crowds.
