The number one pizza in America is from Frank Pepe’s Pizzeria in New Haven. They also have stores in Manchester, West Hartford, Danbury and at the Mohegan Sun casino.

After immigrating to the United States in 1909 at the age of 16 from Italy, Frank Pepe took odd jobs before opening his restaurant. Pepe opened his doors in Wooster Square in New Haven, Conn., in 1925, offering classic Napoletana-style pizza
