In addition to the beer and the waffles and the chocolate and the fries, there are even more reasons to visit this country which is the size of the state of Maryland.

Belgium Itinerary - Chimay

Information has been added to the portion of the “Belgian Itinerary — Breweries and History” page, mainly regarding Chimay Cheeses.

The monks from the abbey oversee the production of the cheese dairy even though it is outside the abbey walls. The semi-hard cheeses, some of which are rinsed with beer, are made as they were 150 years ago, although made with a more consistent quality of milk. Beer extract is added to the milk and the taste of the beer shines through.

The South of France Sample Itinerary

On of the features of Lee’s Travel Guide is a page of sample itineraries that you can use or modify to meet your preferences for holiday. This one is a tour of the south of France that starts with a riverboat tour on the Saône and Rhone rivers. It then continues with an itinerary that includes many places and sites in Provence. An exert from the itinerary:

This river cruise from Avalon Waterways could be a good way to begin a trip to southern France. You can fly into Paris and begin the tour there, and it will take you to Nice, in Provence, on the French Riviera. If you have never been to France before, and especially if you haven’t done much traveling, an escorted tour like this can be a good introduction to France before you start going around on your own.
